Common Name The Green Pleurothallis [refers to the flowers]

Found in Loja Ecuador in scrub forests at elevations around 2300 meters as a mini-miniature, cold growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls with a close tubular sheath below the middle and another at the base and carrying a single, apical, thickly coriaceous, erect, ovate, subacute to obtuse, broadly cuneate below and contracted into the twisted petiolate base leaf that blooms in the early spring on a successively single flowered inflorecence arising through a spathe at the base of the petiole and carrying a non-resupinate flower with an oblique floral bract.
