Common Name The Cobra-Like Pleurothallis

Found in Panama at elevations around 600 to 900 meters as a warm growing epiphyte with purple, slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by a sheath below the middle and 2 others at the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, thickly coriaceous, narrowly elliptical, narrowly obtuse to subacute, gradually narrowing below into the cuneate, sessile base leaf that blooms in the winter and spring on a short, successively single flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe and has thin, tubular floral bracts.
