Found in the Dominican Republic at elevations of 850 to 1700 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with stout, terete, erect, ramicauls enveloped by a loose, tubular sheath below the middle and 2 to 3 others at the base and carrying a single, apical, suberect to spreading, thickly coriaceous, elliptical-ovate, aubacute to obtuse, rounded to shallowly cordate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the fall through spring on a successively single, few flowered inflorescnece arising and concealed by a spathe
