Found in Morona-Santiago province of Ecuador at elevations around 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls with a tubular sheath below the middle and 2 others at the base and carrying a single, suberect to spreading, coriaceous, ovate, acute, sklightly acuminate, deepl cordate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the spring on an successively single, few flowered inflorescence arising and concealed by a spathe at the base of the leaf with a tubular floral bract.
