Found from Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador and Venezuela as a miniature to small sized, hot, pendulous growing epiphyte that occurs at elevations of 300 to 2000 meters with an erect, ramicaul enveloped basally by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, narrowly lanceolate leaf that blooms on a short, apical, few flowered, fasciculate inflorescence that has the flowers held close to the base of the leaf.
