Found in the Darien Gap of Panama at elevations around 400 to 500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing, caespitose epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls carrying a single, apical, coriaceous, narrowly ovate, subobtuse leaf that blooms in the winter on an erect, subtended by a spathe, peduncle to .6" [15 mm] long, fascile of single flowered inflorescence with
