Found in Guyana, Surinam, Para' Brazil, Bolivia and Ecuador at elevations of 285 to 400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with stout, suberect ramcauls enveloped by a thin tubular sheath and carrying a single, apical, suberect to reclining, coriaceous, broadly elliptic, obtuse, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a suberect, short, single flowered, occasionally folled by another, inflorescence holding the flower near the leaf base with thin, tubular floral bracts..
