Common Name The Delicate Flowered Pleurothallis

Found as a small sized, caespitose epiphyte and sometime terrestrial on felled trees in wet montane forests on the eastern slopes of the Andes at altitudes of 500-1700 meters in Ecuador and Peru with erect ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, erect, apical, elliptical, acute, petiolate leaf which blooms on a long, apical, arching, several flowered, simultaneously opening inflorescence arising from a long spathe with an annulus that holds the flowers longer than the leaves and occurs in June.
