Found in Loreto Peru in wet premontane forests at elevations around 104 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with slender, ascending-erect, terete ramicauls enveloped below by 1 to 2 sheaths at the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly linear-ovate, acute, contracted below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the winter on a suberect, .32 to .4" [.8 to 1 cm] long peduncle, simultaneously 2 flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe at the apex of the ramicaul and has an oblique, acute floral bract.
