Found in Costa Rica and Panama in cloud forests at elevations of 2000 to 2300 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 loose, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical to narrowly ovate, subacute to obtuse, narrowly cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late fall and winter on a loose, flexuous, distichous, successively single, many flowered inflorescence arising laterally from the ramicaul and has an oblique, acute floral bract.
