Found in Ecuador and Peru at elevations around 2700 to 2800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with an ascending ramicaul enveloped by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, erect, coriaceous, narrowly obovate, acute to subacute, gradually narrowing below into the indistinct petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on an erect, loose, flexuous, disitichous, .8" [2 cm] long including the .2 to .4" [.5 to 1 cm] long peduncle, successively single, 2 to 7 flowered inflorescence arising from near the apex of the ramicaul with a tubular floral bract.
