Found in Bolivia at elevations around 1330 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with stout, terete, ascending-erect ramicauls with a tubular sheath near the middle and another at the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, thickly coriaceous, elliptical, subacute, cuneate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the spring on a short peduncle, single flowered inflorescence arising through and concealed by a spathe at the base of the leaf and has a tubular floral bract.
