Found in Tachira state of Venezuela at elevations around 300 to 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing, long-repent epiphyte with slender, ascending to suberect, anciptous above ramicauls enveloped by tubular sheath and carrying a single, apical, more or less spreading, coriaceous, ellipitcal-ovate, subacute , cuneate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the late winter and early spring on 1 to 3, arising from the base of the leaf, erect, lax, 8 to 1" [2 to .5 cm] long including the .4 to .8" [1 to 2 cm] long peduncle, successively single to 3 flowered inflorescence with shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
"An incompletely know species with no floral material available. The fleshy carinate sepals and hyaline petals are not unusual for the subgenus but if true a membraneous lip without calli is unique." Luer 2004
