Common Name or Meaning The Oblong Pleurothallis
Flower Size .4" [1 cm]
Found in Pichincha province of Ecuador in wet montane forests at elevations around 2700 to 2800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing, caespitose epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by 2, thin, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly obovate, subacute to obtuse, gradually narrowly cuneate intot he petiolate base leaf that blooms late spring and early summer on an erect, arising laterally from the ramicaul, loose, filiform, to 4" [10 cm] long, successively several flowered inflorescence with much shorter than the pedicel floral bracts.

CAUTION Use caution with the Ecuagenera photo determination, the TYPE drawing by Luer and photo by Hirtz are absolutely correct. Lip is wrong, more similar to P setigera version of P zephyrina but I am not sure, anyone?
