Common Name The Shaggy Pleurothallis

Flower Size about 1/2" [6 to 12 mm]

Found in Jalisco, Michoacan, Guerrero, Mexico and Morelos states of Mexico as a miniature to small, cool to cold growing epiphyte around elevations of 1800 to 2600 meters with slender, terete ramicauls that become triangular in cross-section above and are enveloped basally by a few scarious sheaths and carrying a single, apical, elliptic, obtuse and emarginate apically, keeled near the base abaxially sessile at the base leaf and blooms on an apical, fractiflex, 6" [15 cm] long, few flowered inflorescence arising through a small spathe and is longer than the leaf and has successive opening flowers occuring at any time of the year but especially winter.

Said by most references to be a synonym of P villosa but I feel there are many differences that should keep them separate. I await more information.
