Common Name or Meaning Schlim's Pleurothallis [Belgian Plant collector 1800's]

Found in Santander Colombia at elevations around 2400 to 2500 meters as a small sized, cold growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramcauls enveloped by a long tubular sheath below the middle and another above the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, thickly coriaceous, narrowly linear-elliptical, acute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter on a loose, distichous, 1.6 to 4" [4 to 10 cm] long, simultaneously several flowered inflorescence arising through a narrow spathe with an annulus below the apex of the ramicaul.
