Common Name Santiago Castroviejo's Telipogon [Peruvian Botanist current]
Flower Size 1.2 to 1.4" [3 to 3.5 cm]
Found in Peru in cloud forests at elevations of 2700 to 2800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, caespitose, cold growing epiphyte with a few, basal, oblanceolate, acuminate leaves that blooms in the fall on a compressed, alate, recurved, to 2.2" [5.5 cm] long, racmose, successively single, 2 to 5 flowered inflorescence with ovate-triangular, acuminate, dorsally carinate floral bract and carrying a single, normally resupinate flower open at any one time
