Common Name Lowder's Trichoglottis [American Nurseryman owner Dowery Orchids current]

Flower Size 1.2" [3 cm]

Found only in Borneo in hill forests at elevations around 600 meters as a giant sized, hot to warm, scandent, pendent growing epiphyte with usually branching stems carrying oblong-ligulate, obtusely unequally bilobed apically, basally clasping leaves that blooms at least in the fall on 1 to 3, short, single flowered inflorescence carrying sweetly lemon scented flowers

This species and T retusa have been mixed up for years but this species is found only in Borneo while T retusa is found in southern penninsular Malaysia, Thailand and Myanmar as well as Java and Sumatra. There does not seem to be any overlap in where they occur.

Synonyms 1.4" [3.5 cm]
