Found in Kalimantan and Sabah, Borneo in lowland riverine forests at elevations around 300 meters as a medium to large sized, hot growing, pendant epiphyte and has a pendamt stem carrying many broad, elliptic leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on a short, single to 2 flowered inflorescence arising from opposite the leaves

Differs from the closely related T magnicallosa by the shorter sepals and petals as well as the falcate incurved side lobes and the shorter, wider midlobe.
