Found in Surinam, Venezuela, Brazil, Ecuador, and Peru at elevations around 700 meters as a medium sized, warm growing terrestrial orchid with an erect, thin, basally branching stem enveloped by sheaths gradually grading into above, narrowly linear, acute leaves that blooms in the summer on several, lateral, rachis fractiflex, successively single, 4 to 6 flowered inflorescence arising from near the apex of the stem from the leaf axils.
