Common Name or Meaning Bohnk's Pleurothallis [Bahia Brazilian Orchid Enthusiast current]

Found in Bahia state of Brazil in the Atlantic rainforest at elevations of sealevel to 500 meters as a hot growing, caespitose epiphyte with thin, erect, inferior section terete, apex flatteed and triangular in crossection ramicauls carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptic-lanceolate, gradually narrowing below into the base leaf that blooms in the fall on a short, arising through a spathe, frequently fasciculate, .24" [6 mm] long, much shorter than the leaf, simultaneosuly 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence.

Similar to P luteola but P bohnkiana is smaller, has elliptic leaves [vs subcordate], smaller flowers with different shaped parts. Also similar to P heringeri but itis more vigorous, its flowers are on much longer, non fasciculate inflorescence and the labellum has falcate lateral lobes and a less visible mentum."
