Common Name The Violet Colored Veins Anacheilium
Flower Size 2.4" [6 cm]
Found in Costa Rica and Chiriqui province of Panama at elevations of 700 to 1100 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte or terrestrial with spindle-shaped to ovoid, compressed pseudobulbs carrying two, apical, erect, elliptic, obtuse leaves that blooms in the spring on a 6" [15 cm] long, 2 to 7 flowered inflorescence with shorter than the voary floral bracts and carrying non-resupinate, fragrant flowers
Similar to and sometimes made synomonous with Anacheilium chacaoense but the flowers of A ionophlebium are larger, and the lip apex is rounded and the sepals are keeled and the callis is oblong and sulcate at the base." Szlatchetko & Kolanowska 2023
