Found in Santa Catarina state of Brazil without locality as a mini-miniature sized, caespitose epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by 2, tubular sheaths and carrying an erect, thickly coriaceous, elliptical, subacute, contracted below into the base leaf that blooms in the fall on a subflexuous, peduncle .04" [1 mm] long, racemose, to 1" [2.5 cm] long overall, loose, successively single, 6 to 8 flowered inflorescence with as long as to shorter than the pedicel floral bracts.
"This little, caespitose species is characterized by very thick, elliptical leaves that are surpassed by a loose, successively flowering raceme. The sepals and petals are small, glabrous, acute and free. The lip is oblong, free from a callus, minutely pubescent, and minutely verrucose at the rounded tip." Luer & Toscano 2011
