Common Name Widgren's Anacheilium [Swedish Plant Collector in Brazil early 1800's]

Found in Minas Gerais state of Brazil at elevations of 500 to 1000 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with cylindrical, slightly flattened pseudobulbs carrying 2 apical leaves that blooms at any time of the year on a terminal, 2 to 4.8" [5 to 12 cm] long, racemose few [6 to 8] flowered inflorescence with a ], non-resupinate flowers.
This species can be confused withAnacheilium papilio but A widgrenii has reflexed petals and a flower that is twice the size of the former.
