Common Name Vasquez's Barbosella [Bolivian Orchid Collector current]

Found in Cochabamba department of Bolivia at elevations around 1900 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing, caespitose to shortly repent epiphyte with ascending to erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3, loose, thin tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, fleshy, thickly coriaceous, semiterete, linear to narrowly elliptic-obovate, subacute, gradually narrowing below into the subpetiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter on a slender, erect, 1.2 to 2" [3 to 5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with a thin tubular floral bract that envelopes the pedicel.

Similar to the B prorepens group but distinguished by the pair of lamellae converging from thin, rounded, erect, margins below the middle.
