Found in Jalisco state of Mexico in tropical forests at elevations around 600 meters as an inconspicuous, small to medium sized, warm growing terrestrial with about 6, thick, robust, pubescent, cylindriocal to fusiform roots giving rise to lewaves that arte withering to not present at floracion, rosulate, about 4, with short veins, imbricate, more or less elliptic, sulkcate, carinate, canaliculate below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, terminal, densely glandular-pubescent, peduncle, 6.8 to 9.2" [17 to 23 cm] long, provided with 9, glabrous,almost all imbricate, green sheathing bracts, rachis 4.8 to 6" [12 to 15 cm] long, green, dense, semicylindrical, 45 to 60 flowered inflorescence with persistent., broadly lanceolate, acuminate, green, 3 nerved, as long as to longer than the ovary floral bracts with successively opening flowers over a long period until, all open at once.
Differs from Beloglottis mexicana in the oblong-lanceolate, acute, contricted, subpandurate below the apex. The closest relative to B garayana is !Beloglottis costaricensis but it has violet scented flowers, with the tails are arched to rectilinear, the mesochile that is broader below, gradually contracting, without dilation in front of the base, the epichile is subrhombic, subacute and obtuse, half as wide as the mesochile, broader above the baseand the margin is mostly ciliolate, the foot of the column is cuneatye and as wide as the column at the apex. B garayana lach a perceptible aroma, the tails are siogmoid or arcuate\, the mesochile is much more dilated above the middle, cuneatte below or separated from the tails by a subquadrate isthmus, the epichile tapers gradually from the base, the apical margins arte glandular, the foot of the column is not cuneate and is narrower than the column.
