Found in southern Taiwan on trunks and branches of conifers at elevations of 1300 to 1400 meters as a miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome with .2 to .6" between each, more or less ascending, ovoid-conic pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, oblong to oblong-oblanceolate, slightly retuse apically, narrowing below into the shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a basal, slender, 2.4 to 3.2" [6 to 8 cm] long, 4 to 8 flowered inflorescence with 2 scale-like bracts and a narrowly triangular floral bract holding the flowers in an apical umbel.
