Common Name Millota's Calanthe
Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]
Found in northern Madagascar, Mauritius and the Seychelles at elevations around 1800 meters as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with obscure pseudobulbs carrying 4 to 6, broadly lanceolate to ovate, acute, glabrous above puberulous beneath, attenuate below into the channeled petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late winter and spring on an erect, peduncle pubescent, 8 to to 16" [20 to 40 cm] long, rachis short, to 24" [60 cm] long overall, 6 to 15 flowered inflorescence, with lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, floral bracts.
Similar to C triplicata but differs in the smaller flowers with undulate margins to the lip lobes and a shorter spur,
