Common Name Caliman's Cattleya [Keko and Savio Caliman Brazilian discoverers of the natural hybrid]

Found in Espiritu Santo State of Brazil in Atlantic rainforests at elevations around 150 meters as a medium sized, hot growing epiphyte that is a natural hybrid between C harrisoniana and C schofieldiana with a short rhizome giving rise to cane-like pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, coriaceous, elliptic leaves that blooms in the Brazilian spring on an erect, short to 6" [to 15 cm] long, 3 flowered inflorescence and carries nicely fragrant flowers
