Found in the foothills of Sikkim at elevations around 300 to 500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte that has small squat ovate psuedobulbs that give rise in the spring to an erect, basal, bracteate, 2" [5 cm] long, 10 to 12 flowered, umbellate inflorescence that is equal to the length of the leaves.
Best kept in a pot or basket, given partial shade and regular water and fertilizer to flower well.
Cited as a synonym of Bulbophyllum roxburghii but there are some visual differences, so I will keep them apart until I have further data.
