Common Name Skeat’s Bulbophyllum [English Explorer in Malaysia 1800’s]

Flower Size 5/8" [1.5 cm]

Found from Malaysia and Laos on ridgetop hill forests on stunted trees in exposed situations occuring at elevations of 1200 to 1750 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with .4” [1 cm] between each ovoid, maroon to brown pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, linear leaf and blooms in the later summer on a dark purple, 4" [10 cm] long inflorescence with an umbel of several [10] flowers held above the leaf.
