Common Name Tse's Bulbophyllum - In China Xiang Gang Juan Ban Lan

Found in Hong Kong on rocks at lower elevations as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome with .4" [1 cm] between each oblique-ovoid pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, oblong, coriaceous, rounded, retuse, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a basal, pale purplish red, slender, 3.2 to 4.8" [8 to 12 cm] long, 4 to 5 flowered inflorescence with 2 sheaths and subulate, acuminate to apiculate floral bracts holding the flowers in an apical umbel.
