Common Name Arevalao's Crossoglossum [Colombian Original collector of the species current]

Flower Size

Found in Antioquia department of Colombia in wet mid montane forests at elevations around 900 to 920 meters as a medium sized, warm growing epiphyte with a short stem carrying 4, oblanceolate, acute, shortly petiolate base leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, peduncle 2.4" [6 cm] long, rachis to 98" [to 20 cm] long, laxly many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acute, shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying flowers with unknown colors.

Similar to C pandurilabia which also has very narrrow sepals and a lip broadest about the middle, however C arevaloi differs in having smaller flowers and a broader lip more distinctly narrowed in the upper third. Szlatchetko & Kolanowska 2023
