Found in Antioquia department of Colombia in wet mid montane forests at elevations around 1850 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short stem carrying 5 to 6 , ligulate-oblanceolate, obtuse, subpetiolate base leaves that blooms in the later spring on an erect, peduncle 4" [10 cm] long, rachis to 9.2" [to 23 cm] long, sublaxly many flowered inflorescence with linear-lanceolate, long-acuminate, shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying white greenish cream flowers.

Similar to C arevaloi but the lip is broadest in the basal third rather than midway.
