Common Name Gentry's Crossoglossum [American Botanist late 1900's]

Found in Nariño department of Colombia in upper montane forests at elevations around 2600 to 2850 meters as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with a short stem carrying 6 to 8, ligulate-oblanceolate, acute, shortly subpetiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter on an erect, peduncle 4" [10 cm] long, rachis to 6" [to 15 cm] long, subdensely many flowered inflorescence with subulate, acute, shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying flowers with unknown colors.
"Similar to C arevaloi but has longer leaves .64 vs .34" [1.6 cm vs .85 cm] , a subdensely many flowered inflorescence vs laxly many flowered, a shorter and wider dorsal and lateral sepals and a shorer and wider, ovate elliptic, 5 veined lip vs longer and narrower and lower 2 thirds oblong-lanceoalte, upper third long acuminate and 3 veined."
