Common Name The Spiranthes-Like Cyclopogon

Found in Antioquia, Cundinamarca and Valle de Cauca departments of Colombia, at elevations around 1650 to 3000 meters as a small to medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with 2 to 7, basal, in a rosette, erect-patent, narrowly oblong-elliptic, subacute, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall on a terminal, erect, terete, peduncle 7 to 12.6" [17.5 to 31.5 cm] long, provided with about 5 to 8, acuminate sheathing bracts, rachis 2.2 to 2.6" [5.5 to 6.5 cm] long, minutely glandulose-puberulent, rarely glabrous, secund, slightly spirally twisted, densely many flowered inflorescence with erect-patent, elliptic-lanceolate, acuminate, glabrous, slightly longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying small white flowers.
"Similar to Cyclopogon maderoi but it differs in the smaller leaves with asessile to an indistinct petiolate base and larger flowers. It is also similar to Cyclopogon argyrotaenius but it has slightly smaller flowers and a different lip form." Szlachetko & Kolanowska 2019
