Common Name The Kelabit Highlands Dendrochilum

Flower Size .2" [5 mm]

Found in Sarawak Borneo in peaty, undisturbed Kerangas forests at elevations around 1000 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with ellipsoid pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, linear, acicular, acute, somewhat fleshy, deeply canaliculate, rigid leaf that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect, decurved to pendulous, peduncle 1.2 to 2" [3 to 5 cm] long, slender, naked, rachis 3.8 to 5.2" [9.5 to 13 cm] long, quadrangular, subdensely many flowered inflorescence with narrowly triangular, acuminate, 3 nerved, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying probably white to greenish flowers

Closest to D angustipetalum but distinguised by its linear, acicular, somewhat fleshy, deeply channeled leaves, lack of non-floriferous bracts, broader petals and a lip with entire side lobes and a less prominent, not clavate median keel on the disc.
