Common Name Kurashige's Dendrobium [Japanese Original Collector of type current]

Found in Sabah and Kalimantan Borneo in hill and lower montane forests at elevations of 900 to 2200 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with erect to pendant, wiry, 4 ridged stems that often keiki and carrying a few, linear to almost acicular, shallowly "V"-shaped, minutely, acutely unequally bilobed apically, rigid leaves that blooms at most any time of the year on several, on the distal portion of the stem, short, successively few flowered inflorescence

J J Wood puts together this group of related species, D lamelluliferum , D alabense, D kurashigei, D lumakuense, D pseudokurashigei and D puberulingue which may all be different or a widely variable species. More research needs to be done to address this confusing group.
