Common Name or Meaning The Mt Lumaku Dendrobium

Found in Sabah Borneo in lower montane forests in moss at elevations around 1200 meters as a small to medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect to spreading, clustered, branching, very slender, leafy towards the apex stem swelling at the base into laterally compressed, oblong-elliptic to elliptic pseudobulbs carrying linear, minutely, acutely, unequally bilobed, thin textured leaves that blooms on a lateral to subterminal, arising along the branches, successively single, several flowered inflorescence arising from the chaffy bracts and carrying yellow flowers stained with red and has darker red nerves.
J J Wood puts together this group of related species, D lamelluliferum, D alabense, D kurashigei, D lumakuense, D pseudokurashigei and D puberulingue which may all be different or a widely variable species. More research needs to be done to address this confusing group. .
Known only from the type to date.
