Found in Alajuela province of Costa Rica at elevatios above 1000 meters as a small to just medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with erect to suberect, simple stems carrying lanceolate, acute to acuminate, subcoriaceous leaves that blooms on a to 1.6 to 2" [4 to 5 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, longer than the flowers floral bracts.
"Similar to E pallidiflavus but separated by its glabrous sepals versus furfuraceous, not keeled on the outer surface, larger flower segments and lip margins that are serrate-dentate instead of lacerate." Szlatchetko & Kolanowska 2023
