Common Name The Leathery Leaved Elleanthus

Flower Size

Found in Colombia without locational data as a medium sized terrestrial with an erect, slender, simple, leafy in the upper part stem carrying plicate, lanceolate, linear-lanceolate to narrowly lanceolate, acute to acuminate, very stiff clasping base leaves that blooms on a terminal, 1.4" [3.5 cm] long, loosely few flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, acute glabrous, more than twice as long as the ovary floral bracts.

Similar to E vitellinus but differs in the very stiff leaves vs very thin textured in E vitellinus and the short 1.4" [3.5 cm] long, loosely few flowered inflorescence vs to 5.2" [13 cm] long and densely many flowered. "Szlatchetko & Kolanowska 2023
