Flower Size .62" [1.8 cm]
Found in Pernambuco, Alagoas and Sergipe states of northeast Brazil in the Atlantic rain forest at elevations of 50 to 500 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with ovoid pseudobulbs enveloped by imbricating deciduous sheaths and carrying 2, apical, erect, coriaceous, smooth, elliptical leaves that blooms in the late winter and spring on a terminal, erect, 10" [25 cm] long, racemose, to 7 flowered inflorescence.
"Similar to Encyclia chloroleuca but differs in the small plant with no more than 10 flowers, the keels fleshier and shorter and the lateral lobes longer and arched, versus a larger plant with more than 10 flowers, longer and less fleshy keels and shorter lateral lobes." Campacci & V P Castro 2000
