Common Name Zaslawski's Encyclia [Brazilian Orchid Nusrseyman and Discoverer of species]

Flower Size 1.36" [3.4 cm]

Found in Espirito Santo state of Brazil at elevations around 800 meters as a medium sized, warm growing epiphtye with elongate-pyriform, smooth becoming rugose pseudobulbs enveloped basally by evanescent sheaths and carrying 2, apical, erect, rigid, coriaceous, oblong, acuminate leaves that blooms in the late spring on a terminal, erect, paniculate, to 40" [100 cm ]long, simultaneously many flowered inflorescence.

Kew considers this species to be a synonym of E andrichii but I have kept it separate as the Brazilians consider it to be 2 separate species.
