Found in Cauca department of Colombia at elevations around 800 meters as a giant sized, warm growing epiphyte? with simple, terete, cane-like stems carrying all along the stem, erect-patent, oblong-ligulate, obtuse, coriaceous leaves that blooms on an erect, long-pedunculate, 8 to 12" [20 to 30 cm] long, 4 to 5 bracted, rachis to 65" [15 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with triangular, acuminate, much shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying glabrous flowers
