Found in French Guiana in rainforests at elevations of 5 to 60 meters as a samll sized, hot growing epiphyte with basaly cylindrical, laterally compressed above, not ancipitose, lightly flexuous stems carrying 4 to 7, in the apical 3/4's of the stem, coriaceous, fleshy, light green, dull, oval to narrowly elliptical, obtuse, shortly mucronate apically leaves that blooms in the fall through spring on a terminal, sub-sessile, simultaneously 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence with sub-transluscent, longly oval, obtuse, shortly apiculate, floral bracts and carrying resupinate, glabrous, yellowish green, fragrant flowers with a disagreeable scent.
