Found in Yunnan province of China, Laos and Vietnam at elevations of 750 to 1600 meters as a creeping, miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte or lithophyte on mossy rocks and vertical cliffs with close set, ovoid pseudobulbs carrying 2, oval, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late summer and fall on a very short, 4" [10 cm] long, arising from the upper nodes, few flowered inflorescence
Often cited as a synonym of Eria scabrilinguis Lindl. 1858 [Eria corneri] but recently separated by Schuiteman based on the acute lip and differing side lobes.
