Common Name The Small Horned Habenaria

Flower Size

Found in India and Sri Lanka in lateritic plateaus and grassy slopes at elevations of 800 to 1900 meters as a medium to large sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with 1 to 2, unequal, ovate to ellipsoid tubers giving rise to 3 to 10, basally clustered, oblong to oblong-lanceolate, acute, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the summer and fall on an erect, terminal, peduncle to 1.4" [3.5 cm] long, to 34" [85 cm] long, 1 to 4 [usually 2] flowered inflorescence with semi-amplexicaul, ellitpic-lanceolate, acute to subacuminate, minutely pappilate floral bracts and carrying slightly fragrant, white and green flowers
