Found in DF, Goias and Minas Gerais states of Brazil in grasslands at elevations of 1050 to 2150 meters as a medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with an erect, thin stem enveloped by straight, narrow, acute, strongly amplexicaul, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the early summer on an erect, terminal, 1.6 to 2.4" [4 to 6 cm] long, 4 to 7, very small flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
