Common Name Spruce's Habenaria [English Botanist and Orchid Collector 1800's]

Found in Venezuela, Guyana, French Guiana, Surinam and northern and eastern Brazil in riparian forests or humid grassy areas at elevations around 1300 to 1800 meters as a small to just medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect, slender stem carrying 3 to 5, distichous, linear, adpressed to the stem, acute leaves gradually decreasing in size upwards that blooms in the summer on an erect, terminal, to 3.2" [8 cm] long, laxly 2 to 7 flowered inflorescence with erect, lanceolate, acute, mostly longer than the flowers floral bracts.
+"This species is similar to H. aff. nuda. The flowers are completely green and the species is typical of seasonally humid grassy fields.
