Common Name Ernst's Habenaria [Ernst Ule German Plant Collector 1900's]

Flower Size

Found in Venezuela and Colombia as a small sized terrestrial with an erect stem carrying 4 to 5, oblong-lanceolate, acute to subacute, erect leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, to 2.4" [6 cm] long, sublaxly 13 to 16 flowered inflorescence with lanceolte, acuminate floral bracts and carrying small, erect flowers.

Close to H armata, H gollemrii and but differs in shorter and thicker anterior lobes of the petals and lateral lobes of the lip. H schwackei is also similar but has a shorter .44" [11 mm] spur versus H schwackei which has a 1" [25 mm] long spur. Also similar to H entomantha is also similar
